Testamentary donation
What you should know
Without a will, your actual will is irrelevant and statutory succession applies.
So if you are thinking of making a gift to PLANT-MY-TREE. Die Stiftung, it is essential to draw up a will.
The correct shape must be maintained.
If you want to draw up a will, you are well advised to consult a notary you trust; this way, a will can be drawn up in a legally secure manner and in the form prescribed by law.
If you want to avoid going to a notary and the associated costs, you can also write the will yourself - it is important that it is handwritten and has a date and signature (wills written on a computer are not valid).
Inheritance or legacy?
There are basically two ways to bequeath something to the PLANT-MY-TREE. Die Stiftung.: On the one hand, it is of course possible to leave the entire estate to the foundation. An alternative to this is to leave individual items, such as a plot of land. The latter is known as a bequest.
The foundation can therefore be appointed as a traditional heir, but individual items can also be left to it by way of a bequest. The bequest must also be recorded in the will.

The promotion of education, public and vocational training, including student aid, is also part of the foundation's purpose. The foundation buys land worldwide and makes it available for planting and reforestation. The foundation also plans events in the form of conferences, workshops and seminars and produces and issues publications.

What is an estate donation?
An estate gift refers to how you can donate your estate to charity. This can be done, for example, by leaving a cash legacy or committing to transfer certain valuables or real estate. By donating your estate, you can ensure that your assets are permanently dedicated to a worthwhile cause. It is a way of arranging your own estate so that it continues to serve a good purpose after your death, such as nature conservation, by using the money you leave behind so that planting trees is possible. A will is not only sensible, but also essential to determine who should receive what and to achieve peace of mind. A legacy donation makes it possible to use your own estate for charitable purposes, such as for our PLANT-MY-TREE. DIE STIFTUNG. and leave a positive impact beyond your own lifetime.
Why a donation in your will helps the environment

- buying planting areas
- planting new trees
- renaturalized near-natural areas such as moors
- support PLANT-MY-TREE. Die Stiftung. itself
As the beneficiary, we naturally take care of all the organizational matters and thus assume all the rights and obligations associated with the donation in will. Important to know: As we are a non-profit organization, there is no inheritance tax.
