Planting trees begins with a first step. With your support, you enable the planting of new trees in Germany—on land owned by the foundation that remains permanently protected for nature.
You choose how many trees you would like to fund. We select the tree species best suited to the location, handle the planting, and care for the young saplings. Your personal certificate shows you where your contribution is creating new forest.
Together, we are laying the foundation for new forests and habitats. After all, a good resolution deserves to take root in the soil.

Planting trees: How new forest is created
A small sapling can grow into a large tree. Many trees can become a living forest. Your donation enables us to plant trees and provide the care they need to grow.
We select tree species based on what can thrive on the specific site. In this way, we lay the foundation for diverse mixed forests.
Our work begins with the planting. We nurture and care for the trees so that a new forest can develop from the saplings.
We plant on land owned by the foundation. Through our perpetuity clause, these areas remain permanently secured for nature.

2,000 trees were just the beginning.
In 2002, Sören Brüntgens bought two hectares of land in Remscheid and planted 2,000 trees. Friends and companies joined in. His initiative grew into millions of trees and, eventually, a foundation.
His aim remains: to give space to nature and preserve it permanently.
Nature conservation requires areas that remain protected not only today but permanently.

Frequently Asked Questions About Planting Trees
How much does it cost to have a tree planted?
We plant one tree for every 12 euros donated. You decide the total amount yourself. Your donation contributes to the overall reforestation effort; it does not entitle you to a specific, individual tree.
Which trees are being planted?
We are focusing on mixed forests, featuring over 80 tree species—predominantly native ones. In addition, we are deliberately planting trees with a future—species that are better able to withstand heat and drought.
In this way, forests grow up that can cope with a warmer climate and provide a home for many animals.
Do I receive a certificate if I have trees planted?
Yes. It confirms your donation and specifies the area where we are carrying out reforestation.
Is my donation for the tree planting tax-deductible?
Yes. We are a non-profit organization. For donations of €300 or more, we issue a formal donation receipt; for amounts up to €300, your bank statement is generally sufficient for the tax authorities.
Where in Germany are the trees being planted?
On our sites in Germany. We decide exactly where based on technical suitability.
Can I make regular donations for new tree plantings?
Yes. You can make a one-off donation or give regularly. Regular contributions help us plan future plantings and their maintenance for the long term.
Do I own the tree I have planted?
The trees and land remain the property of the foundation. With your donation, you support reforestation and the long-term protection of nature.
