Our nature conservation projects

Planting Campaign: Schleswig-Holstein & Lower Saxony New trees for the north At the end of the year, committed people come together to plant new trees—this year in Northern Germany. A single day of action gives rise to a forest that continues to grow. Reforestation in Lüdenscheid The Lüdenscheid Oak Forest A forest of 10,000 oaks is growing in Lüdenscheid. Most of it is already in place; now, only the final trees are missing. Local environmental education Lüdenscheid forest nature trail On our forest nature trail, we showcase the diversity of a mixed forest fit for the future. Visitors discover native tree species, "trees of the future," and the interconnections within a vibrant forest ecosystem. Reptile conservation Two reptile shelters for Lüdenscheid We build reptile refuges out of stones, wood, and sand. This creates basking spots and hiding places for lizards, slow worms, and other small animals. Nahrung für Wildbienen Bee trees for wild bees A new area is being created in Lüdenscheid. Here, we are planting bee-bee trees as a food source for wild bees and other pollinators. We are just getting started here. Food for bees and insects 12,000 m² transformed into a wildflower meadow Bees and insects find food and habitat in our wildflower meadows. Square meter by square meter, a blooming area takes shape. New living space by the water A new pond for frogs and newts A naturalistic pond is taking shape on our site in Meckesheim. With every donation, it is becoming a habitat for frogs, newts, and other amphibians. Environmental protection knows no language barriers. Environmental education for people new to Germany Through training sessions and events, we impart practical knowledge about forests, biodiversity, and the responsible stewardship of the foundations of life. Thailand, Seychelles, and Bora Bora Planting corals Coral reefs are among the most biodiverse habitats on Earth. Together, we cultivate climate-resilient corals and transplant them into damaged reefs.

We use donations for specific projects for their intended purpose. If more funds are raised than required, the surplus goes toward other nature conservation projects of the foundation.
