We are PLANT-MY-TREE—the foundation. Together with committed individuals and companies, we create and preserve habitats in Germany. We plant and care for trees, develop diverse forests, and establish wildflower meadows, giving animals and plants more room to thrive once again.
To this end, we acquire land and protect it permanently. In doing so, we give nature time to develop and preserve it for future generations.

We are creating predominantly native mixed forests featuring a variety of tree species, carefully planned by our forestry team.

We acquire natural areas and permanently transfer them to the foundation's ownership. A perpetuity clause protects them from commercial use.

Wildflower meadows, bee trees, nesting boxes, and areas of deadwood create valuable habitats for animals and plants.

Understanding nature together
We offer programs on nature conservation, reforestation, and biodiversity for children, young people, and adults. A special focus is placed on the school forest.

2,000 trees were just the beginning.
In 1981, a SPIEGEL cover story about forest dieback moved Sören Brüntgen. In 2002, he planted 2,000 trees in Remscheid. Friends and companies joined in. His initiative grew to encompass millions of trees and eventually led to the establishment of a foundation.
Today, it permanently protects over 60 sites in Germany—for nature and for future generations.

Frequently Asked Questions About Donations and Reforestation
How can I donate to environmental protection and reforestation?
On our donation page, you can select an amount and a purpose: tree donation, land conservation, or coral protection. With a donation starting at just 5 euros, you support our work across more than 60 sites in Germany. You will receive a donation receipt and a certificate.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. The PMT Foundation is recognized as a non-profit organization and is a member of the Association of German Foundations. For donations of €300 or more, we will issue an official donation receipt upon request, which you can claim as a special expense in your tax return. Companies can deduct their donation as a business expense.
What is a tree sponsorship and how does it work?
Your donation funds the permanent planting and care of a tree on one of our protected sites. These sites are owned by the foundation and are subject to a perpetual covenant that permanently precludes commercial use. As a tree sponsor, you will receive a certificate detailing the exact location, and you may also give the sponsorship as a gift.
How does the PMT Foundation support reforestation in Germany?
We acquire natural areas and reforest them using predominantly native and climate-resilient tree species. In doing so, we do more than just plant trees; we create diverse habitats featuring wildflower meadows, nesting boxes, and areas of deadwood. We are currently active at over 60 sites across Germany, ranging from Bokhorst in the north to Ratingen in the west. All sites remain permanently under the foundation’s ownership, thereby securing them for nature in the long term.
Can I collaborate with the PMT Foundation as a company?
